As I am sure you have heard CS5 is officially released. We are in the process of getting getting a speaker to talk about what is new in Flash CS5, Flexbuilder, and Flash Catalyst. More details soon!

April's Baltimore SWF meeting is on Wednesday 4/21. The meeting wlll be still be held at the ETC Canton and the presentation will once again be on building OSMF.

Please join us for the April Meeting of Baltimore SWF. Baltimore's Official Adobe Flash Development User Group. There will be food, drinks and all the Flash development talk you can handle. We will have a presentation on Particle Systems. Particle systems have many uses in Flash development from simulating explosions, fire, smoke, liquid and other visual effects. This presentation will discuss how to create particle system and how to use gravity, acceleration and friction to creat various effects.

The meeting will be held in the main conference room at the ETC building.

Due to some scheduling conflicts Baltimore SWF and Refresh Bmore will be having a joing meeting. The meeting will include an introduction to AIR.

Adobe Integrated Runtime (AIR) is a cross-platform runtime environment that allows designers and developer to create rich internet applications using Flash, Flex, HTML or Ajax, that can be deployed on the desktop. This presentation will include a brief introduction to AIR and show examples of applications that make use of several of the new capabilities which include windows, menus, clipboard, access to the file system, etc.

Due to technical issues we have had to cancel our January Meeting originally scheduled for January 21, 2009. Our next meeting will be on February 18, 2009 @ 6:30 PM. More info shortly.

Join us at 6:30pm on Wednesday December 17, 2008 for the launch of Baltimore SWF, Baltimore's Official Flash Development user group.

There will be food, drinks & all the flash development talk you can handle. There will also be a short presentation & demo on the changes to the Drawing API in Flash Player 10.

O'Reilly Books has also been kind enough to donate some Actionscript 3 books for us to give away.
